Rave Reviews

I discovered Michael at his previous Pike Place market location and followed him to his new shop in Eastlake. It’s not like I had a choice, once I experienced Michael’s attention to detail and the care he takes with every cut he’s ever given me, I don’t think I could find anyone else to do the same. The greatest proof, however, is my wife never fails to say something to the effect of, “...wow, you look great. Never ever go anywhere else...” when I come home after a cut.

Finest barber in Seattle. If a quality cut and attention to detail are important to you, this is the place to visit. Tucked away in a cool little studio on Eastlake. Reasonable prices, too.

As others before me have stated, Michael’s level of attention to detail is uncanny. I cannot believe I ever went to any other barber on the West Coast. Michael is super pleasant, he asked several questions getting a feel for what I was looking for initially when I first visited(now remembers and gives me “the usual” every time), used a myriad of different razors and clippers and shears to change my hair into a masterpiece. Classic cut, short, medium fade, straight razor for maximum detail. 10/10, highly recommend!

OMG, I am nearly 60, Michael gave me the best cut of my life. Keep in mind I used to go to all the “best” places in Hollywood and Beverly Hills and the best Seattle had to offer, now I found it. Michael is an artist, a master of his craft and a hell of a nice guy. My wife, who is a stylist, went crazy over how great the cut was. I was able to look my best at my daughter’s wedding. Thank you Michael, I am a customer for life.

Michael is an artist. Throughout his life the medium and tools of his craft have changed, but the aesthetic ideal he so passionately strives for shines through in his quality of work and philosophy on business. A wondrous experience which left my wallet, hair, and disposition feeling grateful. Go see Michael and see for yourself.

Now that I’ve been going to Michael for a few years, I won’t let anyone else touch my hair. He’s so good with detail, keeps track of what I like and gives me consistently great-looking haircuts - this is harder than it looks because I have problematic hair with big cowlicks and have had horrible cuts in the past. Plus, he’s a great guy. I highly, highly recommend him.
